CSA Marine is an independent marine surveying company based in Melbourne, Victoria. The company is led by Captain Shakeel Chowdhury, a qualified marine surveyor and member of the Australasian Institute of Marine Surveyors (AIMS).
We attend all vessels, bulk carriers, tankers and general cargo ships, at ports and anchorages all over Australia, inspecting them before loading and discharging. Our core work is FTL surveys, together with cargo hold cleanliness and condition inspections.
How we survey
Every hold inspected and reported individually
Previous cargo
Residues of previous cargoes recorded hold by hold.
Rust and scale
Loose rust and scale identified before it can contaminate cargo.
Structure
Condition of frames, plating, ladders and tank tops.
Bilges
Checked clean and dry in every nominated hold.
Every attendance ends with a clear, qualified opinion on the vessel’s inspection, so the master and agents know precisely what needs attention.
